emily is such a smiley, happy, content little girl.

she loves keeping up with her sister and brother-

most of the time she acts closer to their age than her own!

and they adore her-i am thankful for their friendship and love for each other.

emily has brought such joy into our lives.

what a blessing from the Lord!

whew...it's been a while since i've blogged...we had a wonderful christmas.

we got to be with a lot of family which is always such a sweet time.

here's a few highlights in pictures...

We've had a month full of partying...and not just for the adults. Eady, Tucker and Emily have had a great time going to birthday parties and christmas parties this month! Here are a few pics from their fun month...

Eady went to her first spend the night party for Becca's 6th Birthday!

They had a great time going to Chic Fil A for dinner, to the movies to see The Muppets,

and eating birthday cake at 9:30!

Eady's favorite part was that there was a "real ballerina"!

The rest of the family went to Micky D's during Julia's party.

Tucker and Emily loved the indoor play gym...we need a few more of these places in Jackson!

Will celebrated his second birthday 1 month early at the FunZone.

the davenport's hosted thanksgiving for jennifer's family this year. it was fun getting together with everyone (i think someone said that there were 50 people there!)

we had a great time.

after lunch, the kids went out to see the horses that live on the property.

eady was a natural and LOVED riding.

my mom came to visit a few weeks ago. it was wonderful to have her around. we did a lot of playing, reading, baking, and having fun! the kids LOVED having her for a visit and we did too!

WARNING: THIS EVENT HAPPENED ALMOST 2 MTHS AGO..WE ARE NO LONGER THIS TAN (ALTHOUGH I WISH I WAS!)

i told eady that we were going to have a special dinner the night before school started and asked her what she wanted...well, she had a good idea of what she wanted and went upstairs to get her "fancy nancy" tea party book. the book has recipes and full details of how to have a proper tea party. so, the night before kindergarten we had a "fancy dinner".

everyone got dressed up (eady requested that daddy wear his black suit and mommy wear her dress without straps!) tucker chose his get-up (he's the ups man!)

eady made "place cards" to show everyone where to sit

i hope fancy nancy would be proud of our presentation!

we had a wonderful time and created a great family memory.

eady is already planning our next fancy dinner!

davenport beach vacation

last week we packed up and headed to orange beach for our annual davenport family beach trip. brett and kelly just moved to vermont so they were not able to make it this year...

hopefully next year!

emily's favorite toy at home is the cozy coup-when she spotted a similar toy, she had to give it a spin. she convinced tucker to push her a little bit!

anna, i think sara would be proud of emily's form?

this was my favorite attraction at "the beach"-the zero entry pool was wonderful-i was even able to sit in a beach chair while the kids played!

the lazy river was a lot of fun too-the big kids never quite caught on to the "lazy" part...they would run, swim, flip, etc. at least emily got it!

this was, by far, the favorite attraction at "the beach" this year...

too bad it did not slide into the ocean.

maybe we would have spent more than 1 hour at the beach if it would have!!!

of course, there was lots of silliness-tucker is always looking to make us laugh!

we had a wonderful time! thank you, bill and jennifer, for a great trip!

we've done a lot of it this summer...our neighbors and friends have been very kind to have us over every week. the kids are really enjoying the water. eady and tucker have become pretty good swimmers, emily is happiest just hanging out on the steps and walking around the pool.

Jill and Justin got married this past weekend in Jacksonville.

It was a wonderful weekend-

we loved getting to be with our family and some family friends.

My sister looked gorgeous...breathtaking.

One of the best parts of the night was that Jill secretly recorded the song that they danced their "first dance" to-Justin was completely clueless and was so shocked.

It was such a cool touch. FYI-Jill has an amazing voice!

Eady loved being the flower girl and did a great job!

It was so nice to get to be together-we always have so much fun when we are with them...

I can't believe we have a 5 YEAR OLD...in so many ways it seems like yesterday that we were in the hospital enjoying this new little miracle that God had given us and here she is-a precious girl about to start kindergarten

Eady has always been a laid back, sweet, happy girl-and a really good smiler. From a young age, you would just have to look at her and she would smile.

She's been a Daddy's girl for a while now...she loves being with him and helping him.

She is the best big sister to Tucker and to Emily. Eady loves them so much and cares for them in such a gentle way.

Eady, you are so precious to us. We love you more than you will ever know. You brighten our lives with your smile and your sweetness.

Tucker turned 3 yesterday...I shed some tears-I know every parent says this-but I feel like I have blinked and he is a boy-not a baby anymore.

He's always done his best to make us laugh...and he hasn't had to try hard-he makes the funniest faces and says the funniest things...

Tucker and Eady have the sweetest friendship-it really does make my heart melt. They are good friends and play so great together.

And he's "all boy". Always willing to try crazy things, pick up bugs, and do plenty of things that he's not supposed to do...

Happy Birthday, Buddy...we love you more than you will ever know!

You are such an amazing blessing in our life.

over a month ago, at the end of february, eady and i took a quick girls trip down to ms to visit with friends and celebrate sara beth and leigh's birthday.

of course, we had a wonderful time...and had a hard time leaving.

so it's been a while...I haven't posted much lately-

I can't say we lead overly busy or exciting lives-but I do have blog worthy events that I just haven't posted. My apologies...

so I will begin with the "big brown truck". it could be one of tucker's favorite things. he got a little matchbox size truck for christmas-he takes it in the car with him and even sleeps with it. tucker loves watching him drive down the street. we were lucky enough to be in possession of the truck the other day while the real one came by...he stopped and visited and made this little man's day!

Anna hosted a kids christmas party every year when I lived in Mississippi. It was a real highlight of our christmas season so when we moved to Tennessee I vowed to do the same. Although my food won't ever be as good (and the old friends can't be replaced!) we had a good time.

We are missing Charlie in this picture but if you notice-all the families (minus Della) have a Tucker age and an Eady age kid. Very fun!

this was the first day emily crawled-it happened to be on October 12 which was the day she turned 9 months old! 5 days later she crawls like a champ and is constantly trying to keep up with eady and tucker...she has an art in getting into EVERYTHING. something her sister and brother did not try to do! i think i will be busy for a little while!

here she is after 2 days of practice...she's getting good! if you notice, the necklace seems to be a good ploy to get her moving. rest assured, the necklace is hidden and out of reach now that she no longer needs any encouragement to crawl!

Davenport Beach Vacation

We've had a fun, adventurous past few weeks...Tim, Eady and I landed in Memphis 2 weeks ago yesterday from our trip to Disney and jumped in the car with the Davenport clan and headed to Destin. We had a wonderful time playing in the near perfect weather for a week.

2 weeks ago today Tim, Eady and I went to Disney! We had the best time. Of course, I have too many pictures to post (and don't want to bore you) so I picked out some highlights.

The biggest highlight for Eady were the "Princesses". It didn't matter which one, she loved them all and was fast friends with each one-she would go up to them, smile and dive into a conversation with every one of them.

Her next favorite thing were all the roller coaster type rides-we rode the "barnstormer" in toontown 6 times (one time we did it 3 times in a row and got a "frequent rider card)-I guess that's the beauty of off-season!

Eady was eager to talk to Cinderella's step-sisters...she was not at all intimidated by them. Well, the red head told us that they had a lengthy conversation and cleared up some issues! Eady asked her why they tore Cinderella's dress and the red head explained that it was all a big mistake! Whew...good to know.

I'm glad that's all cleared up!

MEETING MICKEY DID NOT RANK ON OUR FAVORITES LIST...maybe next time!

We met up with my family (including my Grandmother) while there-we got to celebrate my Grandmother's 80th Birthday. It was neat getting to be there with everyone.

Another highlight of the trip was finding little Mickey Mouse ear confetti that was thrown out during the parades-here is Eady picking up some treasures!

We had a wonderful time with our "only child". She was worn out by the end of the weekend-she fell asleep within minutes of getting in bed and slept through some football games and mad packing! I guess Edie and Tinkerbell help!

I thought about not posting these pictures since this event happened 4 weeks ago...however, ultimately this blog is something I want to have to look back on the fun events in our lives...and this was one of them. Excuse the extreme lateness!

Tucker started at First Presbyterian this year with Eady-they were excited about starting school together. However, Eady came down with the stomach bug 2 days before school started so she couldn't make it. Tucker still went and had a nice first day! Here he is, tired of pictures and saying "cheese" for me!

2 weekends ago, Eady and I packed up and went to Mississippi for the weekend to meet baby Sam (and to play with our friends)...here are a few pics from the weekend. I am missing one of the only pics of Sam that I took (maybe Anna will post it and I can get it!) I know I only took a few pictures...I feel like that always happens when we go :(

On Saturday Sara Beth, Eady and I went to our house (that we still own...boo) to check things out-I heard the girls laughing in Eady's room so I went in there and found them in the closet

Sunday we got to go to First Pres and see a lot of our friends and then swim Sunday afternoon at one of my good friends house. We can't wait to see everyone again soon!

Over the past few weeks Emily, Tucker and Eady have switched beds. Everyone has gone from their "junior" bed to a big kid bed...hence, growing up which doesn't please Mama or Daddy.

We headed down to Mississippi on Saturday to get Emily baptized on Sunday at First Presbyterian.

It was important to us to have her baptized as a covenant child of God and since we don't have a church in TN yet, we headed down to "our church".

Tim's parents came down as well-we were glad they could make it.

Anna's parents had us over on Saturday night to celebrate Anna's 30th BIRTHDAY! It was wonderful to get to be with them...it's just always too short of a time (especially this time!)

Eady and Tucker got a power wheels jeep for Christmas...they really enjoy it and spend a lot of time out in the driveway cruising around. Tim decided to give it a try the other day...I must say, I had a hard time holding the camera still because I was laughing so hard. Don't think Fisher Price intended for 32 year old weighing ??? to cruise around or to be able to get out!

Eady had a fun day at school today...everyone brought a riding toy, learned about being safe while behind the wheel, threw on their helmets and road around the church grounds. Anna asked what they learned...I don't know-but they had fun!

I picked this fabric up last year at Continental and decided to send Eady and Tucker to school in an overly themed outfit! (I think I hear some laughter!-that's ok-I deserve it!)

I'm glad I got to chaperon the event-it was a lot of fun!

If you remember-we had a "snow day" about a month ago...it was a joke.

Well, Friday morning it started snowing at about 9:30 and did not quit until 11 that night-went non-stop. Tim and I estimated about 6 inches or more...which has led to FUN, FUN, FUN! Tucker stayed with Grammy and Papa for the week but came home yesterday in time to go sledding and run in the snow. The kids love it! What a fun way to experience winter-it's actually the first snow I've lived through as well! I can't say I've had a blast rolling around and making snow angels-I'll blame the c-section-but I've enjoyed watching the kiddos and Tim!

We are headed to the hospital on Tuesday to have a c-section and baby 3! I call her baby 3 because we are not 100% on a name yet...a first for us! We are thrilled and a little anxious to add the third-knowing life will be busier, livelier, and all around crazier-but wow-how exciting. God has provided this baby to us as a sweet gift and we can't wait to see her-at 12:30 on Tuesday. Kind of weird knowing exactly when she will be delivered!

On another very random note-the kids were out of school yesterday because of the winter weather...I was a little bummed because it was my last day without kiddos for a while but we made the most of it and had a great day.

Anna has done an annual Christmas party at her house for the past 3 years. It's been a highlight of the season for us and we were sad we couldn't be there this year...

Well, I tried to recreate (yeah right!) her little party and start a new tradition in Tennessee. The funny thing is that she had her party the same day we did! I guess we partied together in some way.

We took a quick trip to Memphis on Friday to spend a little time with Grammy and Papa and cousin Taylor. We went to the Enchanted Forest (something Tim did growing up) and got to play on Saturday morning before heading back to Jackson to watch Tebow lose...BOO!

Bill and Jennifer watched the kiddos Friday night and Tim and I got to go to dinner and a movie-we saw the Blind Side (very good flick!). It was a real treat!

A swing set...

Tim has had a little more time on his hands since starting practice and ending residency-going from an 80 hour work week to a 40-50 hour week changes things! Well, with a little more time on his hands, he decided to build a swing set for the kids-NOT from a kit but from scratch.

A few months ago, the Jackson Clinic took out a billboard announcing Tim's arrival! Such fun. He was up for about 2 months in various spots around town. There was one that was near Eady and Tucker's school. It was neat to take them by to see their Daddy!

BOSTON

2 weeks ago Tim and I set off for Boston with the Echols. Jim was Tim's roommate in medical school...and you could call them 2 peas in a pod. Candace (Williams) went to Samford with us and we actually introduced them to each other 6 years ago. 4 kids later (between the 2 of us)-well, 5 if you count little one in my belly...here we are. It was a great trip.

A few highlights...

If you've visited Boston, you've enjoyed the Public Garden. What a beautiful place. It was fun strolling through with a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee (extra light and extra sweet!) My FAVE!

Notice the MAN behind the extra sitting on the bench...it's Ben Afleck. He was filming a movie in the heart of Boston. I thought it was pretty cool. If you are interested...we have several more pics of him from all different far away angles. Tom Cruise was filming in Boston as well. We saw the set up but didn't get to see him.

Red Sox game at Fenway

On Saturday we rented a car and drove up to New Hampshire and Maine. It was definitely one of the highlights. We went to see the foliage...a few weeks too early. We weren't disappointed though. There were some beautiful sights. I must say...9 hours in the car is a little much being 6 months pregnant BUT I really don't think I've laughed that much in a while.

Do you think we are married to sports fans? We actually could have fit a Bruins game in on Saturday night...if the guys would have thought it through a little more, you would have seen a pic of us with a hockey rink in the back ground. Jim and Tim had an ongoing debate (SHOCK) about the best sports city...Boston or New York. TIED? I don't know but the games were a lot of fun.

First Day of School!

BEHIND....I KNOW...

Eady started school on September 8. She was excited and a little nervous to go to a new school where she would meet new friends. She told me that her tummy hurt a little bit on the way to school...we prayed that God would give her courage and help her to make new friends. Her tummy actually hurt the first 4 times we drove to school but yesterday she said she felt fine!

She so reminds me of myself. I actually started a new school in 7th grade and broke out in a rash from head to toe that lasted for 1 month! No kidding...the doctor could not diagnose what was wrong with me so he concluded it was nerves.

Visit to Mississippi

Eady, Tucker, and I headed down for a visit with our friends in Jackson. The Henson's were kind enough to have us on our extended visit...I say extended because we ended up staying an extra day! It was so nice to get to see everyone. I got to have some good one on one time with some close friends. We got to go to church on Wednesday night (supper, nursery, Discipleship group). It was such fun. Anna's sister watched the kiddos (that's right, all 4) one night and I got to see my girlfriends...we got to spend some good time together catching up-without the kids. It was great. I even got to go to Sew and Sow on Friday morning while Eady got to go to her old school with Sara Beth. I loved getting to see all our old friends.

OH...and of course, Anna and I sewed and sewed and sewed. REALLY. We did. We tackled some new projects which left us a little flustered at times but it was fun. You have probably noticed that I travel with my sewing machine when I go on trips. Well, it's a whole lot more fun to sew with friends than alone!

We look forward to seeing everyone in Jackson soon. We miss you!

He Can Walk!

Well, at 17 months Tucker has decided to give up the crawling. About 3 weeks ago he took his first steps, a few days after that he was moving like a pro. He's pretty proud of his moves. Tucker has a unique walking style to note-his hands go up by his face and he gets going. These are some pics of one of the first nights he started walking.

Well, I told you I was behind! We found out several weeks ago that we were adding another little girl to the bunch! She's healthy as can be and quite an active one. I didn't feel Tucker move until about 24 weeks (felt this bug at 17) and even when I felt him, it wasn't much. Well, baby #3 is making up for the lack of movement from big bro because she is all over the place, all the time. I wonder when she sleeps! Have no fear...she is a thumb sucker like the other two. (you can see it in this pic.) So cool.

Trip to the Beach with the Davenports

I last left you with a visit from my mom. We had a

wonderful time with her, packed up half our life (or so it seemed) and headed to the beach with Tim's family for the week. It was a great trip.

We stopped in Jackson, MS on the way to Destin to stay the night with the Henson's. The girls were thrilled to see each other. Anna and I snuck away to Easely Amused and painted some birds. Fun times all around.

It was the neatest or the most morbid thing (depending on how you look at it) that caught our attention at AJ's. This bird was perched on a boat catching fish in the water. We watched him catch and eat 5 before we called it quits.

Kelly and I spend most non-child moments (naps and nights) sewing. What a way to spend a vacation!?!?

After our formal beach shots, we let the kids go-they all headed straight for the water and had the best time getting drenched. We were also entertained for the next 45 minutes!

Visit from Mama

Eady went to West Palm Beach last week and spent the week with my parents. She had a wonderful time...lots of swimming, daily trip to the park, a trip to see the sea turtles and plenty of visits with friends. I hope to get some pics from my Dad (hint, hint) and post those...

My mom and Eady flew home on Saturday and my mom stayed for a visit until Wednesday. We had the best time. It was so nice to have her company and some help around the house and with the kiddos! (Tim took his boards yesterday and was busy studying all week) We did some sewing, cooking and loads of playing, singing, reading, etc.

Thanks for the visit, Mom.

Eady and Tucker's cousin turned 1 today! She is such a happy, precious baby. We are excited to be living closer to her (and her parents!) so that we can play together more.

Well, Tim is almost done with residency...5 LONG years of a lot of sleepless nights, crazy hours, and some gray hair! Definitely the biggest graduation that we have celebrated. College, Med School-both big but now we are DONE with schooling. Very exciting!

Thursday night was the annual urology "Chiefs Roast"/Special Graduation Dinner. It was weird going into the evening knowing Tim was the roastee and the one being honored.

Tim knew his parents were coming but not in his dreams did he imagine that the rest of the family was going to make the trip.

Tim came home Thursday afternoon to Bill, Jennifer, Brett, Kelly, Drew and Taylor. He was surprised beyond words. We had a great night with the family.

Last night our wonderful friends gave us a going away party. It was wonderful. It was great to get together with our dear friends that we have made over the past 5 years in Jackson. We've walked with these friends through a lot of firsts-kids, swim lessons, school, potty training-oh the list could go on and on. Of course, with all those things tears have been shed! We got to do them with some great friends that we will miss dearly.

My only regret (BIG regret) from last night is that I didn't take any pictures. I'm pretty annoyed at myself about that-we'll have to have another party next weekend! Anyone up for it?

Fun at the fountains!

We took a little family trip to the fountains at the Renaissance on Sunday. Eady was a little timid at first while Tucker crawled right over to one of the fountains and stuck his face right in the middle of the water. We had a great time playing. Tucker crawled from fountain to fountain playing in the water while Eady jumped over each one. At the end of our playing time-I noticed some blood on Tuc's feet-well, he crawled around so much, he got "concrete burn" on the top of his little feet. OOPS. Next time he'll wear his water shoes!

I had high hopes...but she had fun in the end with her friends and is asking to go back (a big shocker since she cried every day the first week we went). Life has quieted down since our "regular activities" have finished up for the summer.

Here are a few things that we've done to stay busy...

If you look closely you can see the flamigos. The zoo is one of our favorite family activities. EXCEPT for one of the attractions...

Eady does not do the merry go round...we have tried and tried and she is NOT interested. She was so happy that Tucker got to ride-but preferred to stand on the side and wave as he went around and around and around.

Eady and Tucker had a great time with Grammy and Papa while we were sunning in Mexico. From the sounds of things, they kept pretty busy playing and visiting with family. They tried out some of the parks, went to library, and did a whole lot of playing with Great-Grandparents and friends. They even got to spend some time with Taylor...
